High Tea at the Hilton

This may sound peculiar, but it has been quite nippy lately for Australia! This afternoon, the weather turned around, and for the first time it felt like Spring – perfectly timed for my beautiful best friend’s bridal shower. I decided to have a little bit of fun with my outfit with some clashing prints.

Texas is the fifth-largest wine producing state in the United States. Named for the wild Mustang grapes that blanketed the land when settlers first arrived to the area in 1844, Grapevine is the headquarters of the Texas Wine Industry.

Today we went to the People’s Choice ‘Wine Tasting Classic’ in Grapevine, Dallas. The Wine Tasting Classic is an annual event which this year was only on from 12th-14th September and is a huge festival filled with wine tastings, food stands and snack bars. There were also a lot of cute shops along the main street. The great time we had today proved that asking the locals what to do in town is always a great idea (we asked one of the lovely baristas at Starbucks).

I never thought I would see the day that I would do a grape stomping contest in my favourite Manning Cartell skirt, but it was the highlight of my day! Thank you Dallas for finishing off our trip to the States with a bang! (or should I say stomp).

Love always,
